Legume Generation IC soybean experimental field demonstration
Ana Slanina (founder and CEO of Edamax edamame start-up, Vienna/Austria) and Xindong Yao (Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin/China) are inspecting the early development of soybeans in the Legume Generation soybean field experiment at BOKU University (Tulln/Austria) during a visit on June 14, 2026. In a discussion about breeding targets and market situation, they both confirmed a growing interest in food-grade soybean varieties in Europe and in China as well.
