Legume research in the spotlight at IPK’s Open Doors Day 2026
On the 6th June 2026, IPK´s annual Open Doors day took place. Colleagues of the IPK were happy for this chance to present IPK´s legume research to the visitors. Mainly at the example of common bean, the research of the projects INCREASE and Legume Generation was shown, encompassing root and shoot phenotyping, selection for drought tolerance, genetics and genomics analysis, but also INCREASE´s citizen science experiment. Many visitors came from the local village, but also students, scientists, local politicians and farmers were among the guests – leading to many interesting and stimulating discussions.
